Connect TRAIND to your assistant

Choose your connector

TRAIND Daily

Use your coaching libraries and client records for everyday coaching.

  • Review a client’s completed workouts and calendar.
  • Find coaching notes and conversation history.
  • Create or update a private trainer note when you grant write access.

TRAIND Importer

Review source files and bring clients and historical records into TRAIND.

  • Inspect files uploaded in Imports > Source files.
  • Preview imports and resolve unclear names, dates or units.
  • Save an authorised import and check the resulting records.

Before you connect

You need an active TRAIND trainer account with a verified email. Free and paid TRAIND accounts can connect. ChatGPT and Claude control which of their plans support custom connectors. Connect the two TRAIND connectors separately if you want both workflows.

Set up a custom connection

Public directory listings are being prepared. Until they are available, use the custom connection option supported by your assistant account.

TRAIND Daily connector URL

https://api.traind.xyz/mcp/v1
  1. In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors → Add → Add custom connector.
  2. Name it TRAIND Daily, paste its URL above, then select Continue.
  3. Keep the detected sign-in settings, select Continue, then Add.
  4. Select Connect if asked, sign in to TRAIND and select TRAIND Daily on the connection screen.
  5. Choose the access you need, then continue to approve.

Then, in a chat, select + → Connectors and turn on TRAIND Daily.

Claude is moving connectors to a new Plugins page, so these steps may be out of date. If they don’t match, follow Claude’s connector guide.

Each connection belongs to one connector. Connect both separately if you need both.

When TRAIND asks you to sign in, use the code sent to your trainer email. The default access reads coaching libraries; client records and write access require your explicit selection.

Your permissions and data

Client access can include private notes, messages, workouts, nutrition, check-ins and measurements. Only connect data you are authorised to share with your chosen assistant.

Reading conversations preserves unread counts and read receipts. The connectors cannot send inbox messages. Daily can edit private notes with write access; Importer uses historical import workflows.

Change access or disconnect in TRAIND Settings > Connections. Revoking a connection prevents further access; it does not remove information already returned to ChatGPT or Claude.

For Importer, upload source files in TRAIND Imports > Source files. Files attached only to an assistant conversation are not available to the connector.

If a connection fails

Check the server URL and the connector selected on the TRAIND permission screen. A Daily connection cannot authenticate to the Importer URL, or vice versa.

If client tools are missing, check the connection’s access in TRAIND. Reconnect or refresh the assistant’s tool list after changing access.

If TRAIND says a trainer account is required, sign in using your trainer account. If a connection has been revoked, create a new connection.

When requesting help, include the assistant, connector name, approximate time and error text. Keep sign-in codes, access tokens and private client records out of your report.
